Crazy Horizon season so far. Theme seems to be "Road Warriors" because all you seem to see is road wins throughout the league.

Big win by the Grizz today knocking off Mercy College to tie for second place behind Northern Kentucky. Still a lot of league season left but like where the team is sitting right now in the standings.

Mercy losing this evening keeps them behind OU in the standings despite OU's disappointing loss earlier today. Even though road teams seemed to dominate in the win column to start HL play there would be no road teams winning today.

All of the other home teams decided to win last night. Cleveland State managed to finally pick up a win, albeit against the second worst team in the league. Mercy showed they can't win if they don't have daddy's boy(or if you take him away and make his d-II teammates try and beat you). Some interesting scores around the HL on Friday night. I'm probably more upset after seeing these results knowing that the guys blew a golden opportunity to inch closer to the Norse and stay on pace with the Raiders.

If we beat YSU on Thursday night, we'd be tied for first place, with the edge over NKU due to head-to-head (so far). Alas, given the home losses to MKE and YSU, it feels good to be tied for second place. Oakland controls its own destiny right now with road games at WSU and NKU this weekend. UIC went 3-1 vs WSU and NKU this season. Not bad. |
