Tone Hunter in. Need two PGs now. Man. I thought a healthy Tone Hunter would run the show next year.

I didn’t. Kampe was never going to trust him. Was too erratic for Kampe. I liked his style but not what Kampe is comfortable with in that position.

Making sense of it: Polk has a history of being injured with his knees. He’s now coming off a shoulder (arm?) surgery that they said he wouldn’t be healed until the fall. This puts him where he was a year ago with no development in the two off seasons they would have anticipated plus a health liability with his knees. Likely a chance to move on and get someone in who can work out in the off season and backup Chris. Maybe a rim protector.

On his radio show Tuesday, Coach said Oakland's higher visibility is attracting more interest from promising players, but that available NIL will be critical.
He said he'd like to be in a position where members of the roster would be getting about $10K per season.
Coach said the core coming back includes DQ Cole, Chris Conway, and Buru Naivalarua. Let's hope Isaiah Jones is returning, too.
Surely there are some 6-5 shooters out there in the portal who think they can make a splash here just like Jack Gohlke did.

Trey officially in the portal. Anywhere but MSU. (A.B.M.) I think this year is a weaker draft, so I’m hoping Trey turns some heads while testing the waters and stays in the draft and gets drafted as an Oakland grad. If not, and returning to Oakland isn’t in the cards (which will if I hit the Powerball tonight), then I hope he ends up at a place like Purdue. I think he’d be a great fit there, great coach, history of great players, good core will be returning, and it’s at least black and gold. Plus, they’ll contend for a title most likely.

1. How well do you think Trey's game translates to the NBA? I think he will have to be a more mid range jump shooter. I don't see him as a post player.
2. If he goes to a bigger program, a power 5 school, will he get the minutes he had here?
I hope things work out well for him
