Considering this was a deal they made with XHM to keep him from transferring, I think it'd be pretty Sh*tty to now try to convince him to give up his redshirt year. I usually agree but sh*tty or not we need players that can play. Having this many injured kinda changes things IMO. Coaxing XHM out of his redshirt year not only ensures that the XHM transfer Kampe was trying to avoid happens this summer, but also tells the other low-minute players "sorry, you're just too Sh*tty to cover the 13 minutes a game we were giving Beck since Jalen returned". Plus, it strains his credibility with his players. The next underclassman to get assured about the future when he get concerned about his present will remember what happened with XHM. All in all, it's a bad move for the coach. Who knows? Maybe X will volunteer to shed his redshirt for 13 minutes a game, and maybe Kampe will sacrifice long-term for short-term if he does, but I seriously doubt they go asking him to play.

If we were to have injuries in a season - I guess it's best that they happen now.
We still have our big 4 seniors - and at this point wit all our injuries - I really dont care about the Non conference games anymore. Our chances at an at large are gone.
Keep XHM,JC, Brad and James for next year - don't rush them back!
We have Jalen, Martez, and hopefully a soon to be healthy Nunn - that's a pretty damn good 3 headed monster.
We all know that Kampe plays 8-9 guys a game max in conference - and with Buggs/Nicky sharing the point, Brock/Palmer at the 5 (with Brock getting 75% of the minutes, and Chris P (3/4) and Stan Scott (1/2) - we got everything covered. That's 9 guys - exactly what Kampe likes to do and likes to play.
I think Kendrick plays against MSU - we have to give him that opportunity to play in front of that crowd. Shut him down for Towson and EMU and give him that almost 2 weeks rest before the next game.

Just updating this chart to take into account Pittman committing a few weeks back with what we know. This assumes everyone that can come back will come back. Please note that Brock is on the GI bill and thus does not count toward the 13 scholarship limit. You know, I can see the rough outlines of a possibly great team here. It kind of reminds me a lot of Wright State heading into 2017-18. There are some quality upperclassmen players who have yet to make the leap, and a bunch of promising freshmen. Grant Benzinger and Mark Hughes were solid but unspectacular players in their prior years at WSU. But one could argue they were the spirit warriors of the team this year with their toughness and defensive play. Cole Gentry was an unknown transfer who ended up being solid for them. Winchester and Hall were great as freshmen. The biggest thing they had that we have to find out if we have, is the X-Factor Loudon Love. Maybe that will be Brechting, or Xavier, or even a healthy James Beck. Whatever the case, I am hoping we get some of those upperclassman leaps from some of our program guys, and that our freshmen can have an impact. I have been following Maddox, Jr. and Norris in their respective tournaments, and they are showing they are winners. Plus, add in Pittman, a late pick-up from Simeon HS, who is going to have that winner attitude and Simeon moxie. In the first round of the NCAA tourney, a Gonzaga guard and a Loyola-Chicago guard hit game winning shots within a few hours of each other. Totally different schools, but both are Simeon graduates.

Just thought I'd note that, as far as has been announced publicly, Jaevin will be a senior next season. I know they're trying to get him a medical redshirt for this year, but the NCAA really does seem to be screwing with us ever since we publicized the hell out of the Brock nonsense, so we may not want to count our chickens before the hatchery opens.
