Julius Palmer is transferring from Oakland, according to his Twitter page:
Julius' best game as a Golden Grizzly was at home against EMU, in a game he didn't score a single point. He set screen after screen for Jalen Hayes to complete one of the most dominant low-post scoring games I can recall seeing in the O'rena. Jalen scored 37 points, many of those thanks to Julius' efforts. Julius was likely looking at a log-jam in the frontcourt this season, so I understand his decision. I hope our staff can help him land someplace appropriate where he can finish his degree.

I never knew, was Palmer a walkon or not? I didn't think so.

Chris Gilbert has also left the team now...off to GVSU with Brock. Wonder if he will be on scholarship there?

Normally a walk-on transferring to a D2 wouldn't concern me (good for Chris, I wish him well), but with this news, we are now only returning 17.9% of our total minutes from last season (Brailen, Stan, and Beck account for 15.4 of that) and 10.5% of our minutes from this past Horizon League tournament (all Stan Scott and James Beck).
I don't recall a team with this much rollover in terms of floor minutes. We have quite a bit of talent on our roster, but we're in for a brutal November.
