Even though it's a non DI team it's probably just what the doctor ordered for the guys to get out of the shooting funk they are in as well as a game for them to get into a shooting rhythm. They play at Tenn Tech on Mon night and then KU on Wed so hopefully they can get it going shooting wise tomorrow night (Larry Wright in particular) because they will not have a lot of rest with the Hall of Fame Classic games approaching.

I think Wright (0-13 from three so far) and Cush (2-12 from three) just need to keep shooting to get out of this funk, but what do we do if the shooting woes continue tonight against Rochester?

I am still waiting for Jay Thames to get some playing time, where he can get a few touches. Maybe today will be the day, as well as Larry making his first triple of the season. I think we should just launch every shot from the perimeter until we start making them. Hopefully this really isn't anything more then a tuneup. Hopefully Benson will not become in foul trouble against Rochester. if he does I'm going to be kinda worried.

I'm really hopeful the shooting woes stop here so the guys can go in to the Tennessee Tech (who will be playing their first home game of the season) with a lot of confidence. It's time to get this season back on track.
Hopeful for a decent turnout at this game and perhaps a solid showing form the local RoCo population (as these people could potentially be sold on our team and more likely to check out more games that do not necessarily feature Rochester).

Final Score this year 97-63. Got contributions from everyone. Still struggling from the perimeter unfortunately (although Larry went 2-4 from three so that was a bit encouraging) but I can't help but be puzzled by that.

And another Monster Dunk by Drew Maynard.

Always tough to know what to take away from a game like this. I do know that Maynard's dunk was pretty nice, and that Larry Wright ended the drought from deep (although Cush went 0-2).
We need to follow up with a good all-around performance against Tenn Tech on Monday. Then it's on to Kansas....

It appeared to me like Maynard played really well as a whole. I really hope he gets more playing time in these next couple of games, the dude can play - and best of all he and Kampe seemed to be on the same page in this game judging from their interactions.

Anybody know what that time out 9 seconds into the game was about? Obviously Wright did something wrong, but I completely missed it.
