Yes, we weren't playing up to preseason expectations before the injuries hit. We weren't going to win the HL title and we definitely weren't a Top 25 team (which I thought we would be at the start of the season).
However, there was still a decent chance to win the conference tournament and have an enormously successful season (NCAA win, maybe?) even though we wouldn't have won the regular season title.
You have to take the injuries into account when assessing their tournament performance. Had we lost to CSU with Martez and Brailen, then the program would deserve all the criticism in the world.

I mean he's not wrong. Valenti can be an over the top pot stirrer and a pessimist at times, but there is often truth somewhere in there. And I think he's right on this. Of course, attendance isn't helped by OU's tourney performances the last three years. Maybe people didn't want to make the drive into the city just to have their hearts ripped out for the 3rd straight year.

this transfer rule is a good one and the transfer portal takes the coach out of the loop. In the past the player had to request a release and name the schools they wanted to contact. The losing coach could then have influence over where the player transferred to. Either not approving some schools or calling the coach and telling him not to entertain his ex-player And that did happen many times. Now the losing coach has no idea which schools the player contacts and it gives a little power back to the player. The coaches had control of it because they wanted it that way, it wasn't fair to the players but the schools own the NCAA basically. I think this transfer portal is a very good thing. It forces the coaches to treat their players like people so they stay! And it looks like they have about 8 new players coming in so things are working, just a little different than before!

I think it means coachs must recuit thier players all the time this rule also opens schools to recruit players from other schools it seems like teams like oakland will be the losers with the portal

The transfer portal will turn mid major schools into the minor leagues for the bigger schools.
