Shout out to Coach Francis and the women's team for the time and energy in the community with the children advocacy. She has been active in the Sioux Falls elementary schools when the Summit tourney is held every year.

It should have been apparent there was an issue with how often players were quitting and transferring.

Matt is right.
I will say that as a fan and alumni, my level of disappointment is unparalleled and the shame involved, no words to describe. It is definitely a unique situation and I think a lot of reasonable people can understand why some people underneath the umbrella chose to keep a tight seal on it out of respect for their careers, etc.
Other than curiosity, I personally haven't had any interest in planting a flag in this story, but I can tell everyone else that people in the know have been aware of some amount of details going back to around the the week or week after the dismissal took place. I think the Oakland community is small enough that word gets around and even people I talked to in public had some hearsay of this and that with vague ideas of malcontent.
I would urge everyone to go on Twitter and send out a word of compliment to Stacey and especially Jenna. Jenna was definitely someone from what I watched in HS that I felt could be a major contributor for the WBB program at some point and I'm ashamed to say that she won't be part of it because of the way things transpired.
On a side note, I frankly believe that if you took the players that have come onto campus and and eliminated some of the transfers and other issues that have been present, we could/would be in a better position. There's no reason to think with Annemarie and Jenna and all the other young talent, plus Victoria and obviously Beth returning we couldn't be a top-flight contender next year. That still may be the case, who knows. I do know the program is in very good hands now, and I'm excited that Jeff will have the opportunity to handle things now. Wish him all the best.
