I am curious to see how Bethany works out for her senior year. I am totally speculating, but I can imagine she was a big Francis supporter. Bethany has a fairly public religious stand point and I remember her mentioning that her picking OU was related to Francis's outlook on that. I hope she doesn't decide to forgo her last year of eligibility. She's a great player and they could use her and to create some stability with the program that is now greatly needed.

Have any of you attended the women's home games this season? I've been able to attend most of them since the holidays, and the ladies have been playing well lately, especially at home. I think Coach Tungate is doing a great job, and the team seems to be peaking at the right time of the season. I like Watterworth's aggressiveness and willingness to take the ball to the hoop even when she gets hammered. I also like that different players are willing and able to step up when needed depending on the matchups, and there don't seem to be any egos on the team.
I give the ladies a lot of credit for coming together after what must have been a very difficult offseason, adjusting to a new league, and playing some very good basketball as the season winds down.

Kudos to the ladies on a solid season so far. Beat Detroit last night to earn a season sweep. Expect the men to follow suit tonight.

I'm looking forward to the upcoming season. Coach Tungate has a year of D-1 head coaching experience under his belt, some exciting returning players, six freshmen, and a 6'3" transfer. Also, last year's offseason is behind them, they've had a year in the Horizon League, and they ended last season on a pretty good note. I'm curious to see how quickly the new players fit into the system and how the rotation will look. It looks like there will be a nice combination of size, speed, and shooting, and I hope the ladies will pick up where they left off last year and keep working toward the top of the HL.
