Wow! I'm truly surprised by that. Solid summer league stats, & very efficient game last night, doesn't make sense to me. I hope somebody else picks him up this year...Also, making it in the NBA is also about being in the right system, w/ the right coach, the right timing, meeting a teams needs, etc.
On another note its great to see the hawks fans mad to see him go too. Last year, nobody really cared, so thats progress, right?

It's unfortunate. But I'm not surprised. I hope Kito gets a chance somewhere. It seemed pretty clear to me Atlanta wasn't going to give it to him.

Sorry to hear this, but the silver lining is it is early still so maybe there is a chance he catches on somewhere else. It does seem like the Hawks are unwilling to develop young players, even after it seemed like maybe some kind of different movement was coming after some of their big changes this offseason.

Yeah it's a mystery why they even drafted him considering how little time they were willing to devote to his development. Why not trade the pick at that point? Most people agreed when Kito came out that he would still require some development at the next level in order to contribute.
I agree with earlier posters about it being better that this came at this early part of the season, rather than later in the process. Hopefully an opportunity will open up for him.

Glad to see that EVERYONE IS APPROPRIATELY OUTRAGED AT HOW BENSON HAS BEEN TREATED. The word is that the owners don't want to eat Petro's $3.5 million contract.

That sucks! But on the other hand, he will be being watched by the NBA still as opposed to somewhere overseas.

A surprise related to Benson is promised for tomorrow at or after the D-League draft. You can attend the conference call tomorrow at 7:00 on the D-League website. I will announce it once the verbal becomes real. Or, better yet, you can report it.

I hope it's that he's going to the Celtics. They'd be a perfect fit.
