Whatever happened to Samuels? Did he ever end up playing elsewhere?
If I could choose between Ledrick and Bass, I would take Bass. I feel he has more upside and is far more of a true point. This year I started to realize that Ledrick doesn't really have a niche for his game: I guess he can score a bit, he is a pretty good defender, terrible outside shooter, and certainly not a point.
That said, it's all prognostication until something real happens.

Ledrick's performance was admittedly down due to injury this year - and his outside touch seemed to really regress - but I think he has a ton to offer when fully healthy and when given a clearly defined role.
His performance against Pitt last year was huge, and at the beginning of this season I expected him to maybe challenge for 6th man of the year in the Summit. Plus he is a great energy guy and can defend. I know we are stacked on the perimeter looking forward, but I would love to see Eackles be a big part of continuing Oakland's run over the next couple of years.

I could see one of the redshirt freshman starting for extra size. maybe something like:
C/PF Ilija C/PF Petros G/SF Valentine G Bader PG Reggie
off the bench: G/SF Cush (6th man of the year?) PG Bass PF/C Sikora
What I would love:
C/PF Ilija PF Doug Anderson G/SF Valentine G Bader PG Reggie
off the bench: G/SF Cush (6th man of the year?) PG PLP PF/C Sikora
I think Anderson's athletic ability would really help/offest Ilija's game.

Exodus, I really like a lot of what you're thinking there. But, are you just forgetting the LP we do have signed already? Or do you not think he'll be a factor next year?

Don't know where this should be posted, but Blake has his Dr. Appointment today, and he's tweeted that after that he's back! Looking forward to having him back healthy.

LLP did slip my mind you are right, but i think it slipped my mind because Im not sure he will be that big of a factor. At best i see him being at a Larry Wright level which is by no means bad mind you.
I would estimate a 2-3 rotation of (depending on how Cush comes back from his injury) 1) Bader 2) Valentine 3) Cush 4) LLP

The first backcourt domino has fallen. Here's how the scholarship numbers look as of now. This is just a projection, none of it is actually confirmed with the school of who is/isn't on scholarship. As of now, we all know Oakland is still in the mix for PLP. There is also a lot of speculation about Doug Anderson. Oakland could get both of these guys and still be set on the scholly numbers. There is also a scenario where if Oakland were above 13, as Kampe elaborately outlined on one of his earlier radio shows, that it would still all work out. But that might not need to be used if any other guys transfer out this off-season.

So what do we have this year?
PG: Reggie(Senior)/Bass(Soph) SG: LLP(senior)/Bader(soph)/Cush(Junior)... poches(Fresh)? SF: Drew Valentine(junior)/donte Williams(Fresh) ... asbury(Soph)? PF/C: some sort of a mixture of Petros(Fresh)/Sikora(Fresh) ... Imami(Fresh)?
I am thinking we are going to see a lot of West Virginia's style of perimeter offense....

The official roster page has been updated to include Duke Mondy as well as a new freshman named Johnny Johnson. I am assuming he is a walk-on. His dad played for OU in the 80s. Here is an updated look at how the roster looks for next four years assuming all players stay: Wonder if one of the walk-ons will be getting a one-year scholarship this year since it looks like the team is only at 12 for 2011-12. Maybe it's Johnson.
