Should be a good test for the guys to start the season especially with the trip to Wisconsin coming. I know Coach Ramsey and the Eagles are still in rebuilding mode but they made some improvements in regards to wins last season so naturally they should be a bit better this season. Can only help us in the long run. I expect the see the entire house packed tomorrow night and to bring the noise from start to finish.

I agree Grizzfan that this is going to be a good test for the start of the regular season. I hope the guys don't overlook Eastern before the Wisconsin game and come out focused. We need to have a better start then we did against Hope the other night. I think it will be crucial to establish in the inside game to make way for the outside game and vice versa. If we get both going, it will be a long night. Hopefully, we have a great turnout in the first home game.

Nate, We were ahead 16 to 4, can't get a better start rthen that. We subed at that point. Agree. However, there is one problem that has been on my mind since watching that Tuesday night game. We have to improve on our defense in the post. I saw Hope get into the lane too many times with relative ease. Granted the guys made some adjustments in the second half but tonight could be problematic since EMU does have some athletic players on their roster. This same problem was even addressed by Kampe in the paper this morning. This will be something I will be watching tonight and seeing how we do especially if we want to have any hopes of knocking off the Badgers next week.

I meant as far as the sloppy-ness that we came out with. We had a few turnovers at first and seemed like we couldn't get Kito the ball. We had a few missed layups in the beginning as well. We were playing a DIII school and if we were having a hard time getting Kito the ball, then we might be in trouble. I know it was the first game and I'm not doubting our team at all, far from it. Hope out-rebounded us in the first half, if I remember correctly. We looked like a much better team in the second half.

Very excited to watch a regular season match-up in the O'Rena today. All signs point to a packed student section.

Eastern has some size in the post. I expect them to try to get Benson in foul trouble early and often. I think Hudson is going to have a good game as Eastern will probably try to stop Benson.
Either way I don't think Eastern has the horses to stay with us. I expect us to continue our home winning streak.

That pregame show from WXOU will be LIVE at 6:30pm right outside the O'Rena. In fact it will be at the first ever Grizz Gang-WXOU Tailgate and that starts at 5:45pm. Looking to make this year a good one, cant wait to get that ball rolling tonight.
GO OAKLAND!
