OU Golden Grizzlies vs. Youngstown State Penguins Monday January 4th 7:00pm (ET) (O'Rena) Rochester, MI Youngstown State Athletics: www.ysusports.com/sports/mbkb/indexPenguins Fan Forum: ysupenguins.com/forum/index.php/boardThe guys face off Monday night against the Penguins of Youngstown State. Important that they stay focus and keep winning at the "O" especially with the looming showdown with Valpo Friday night. It's difficult what to make with the Penguins. Can't say that they're good. They haven't looked good against many opponents be it power 5 or mid-major. They've had some decent contests with wins over Niagara, Robert Morris, and North Dakota and had a close loss to Notre Dame 87-78. After that it hasn't been close. Bobby Hain (another player who has had success against OU) is out for this game. Apparently he was injured in their game at Notre Dame and didn't play at Detroit. They do have some good offensive players like Matt Donlan, Sidney Umude, and Francisco Santiago. Cameron Morse gives them some solid production off the bench. There isn't much that YSU does exceptionally well other than they are capable of putting up points in a game (avg 75.1) so it would be great to see another solid defensive effort like the guys gave Saturday.

This is a game we should win by 10-20 points, however, we seem to play poorly against this team in the past. Maybe they had different personel then, I know we do. I just can't forget the blowout loss to YSU in the CIT and the crappy loss to them in the Horizon tourney last year. Let's slap them in the face tonight to get those memories out of the top of our minds. Go Grizzlies!

I do agree that the guys can't lose focus and take this team lightly.

No Bobby Hain. Can we please have Percy go for 30 with 15 Felder assists by the half? No reason. Those are not even Div 1 centers he's going up against tonight. Just want to see him finally dominate a game. Also should get some good Brad minutes tonight. Maybe a big flush to get that blown dunk out of his memory.

YSU sucks but no conference game is easy. YSU beat national runner-up Butler in 2011 with a team as bad as this one. The Penguins always come to play. Twenty points is a nice cushion and you should expect it, but don't freak out if you win by 7.
Freak out if you lose.

Finding the freak out button at the half.

Finding the freak out button at the half. Indeed. Credit to YSU for bringing the fight and not laying down. It seems like our guys are just expecting it to be automatic that they'll win at home and don't have to put it effort on BOTH ends. Wrong!!
